JEWELRY CARE
Preserving The Glow
At The Glacier House, we build pieces to last a lifetime. However, even the highest quality stones require proper maintenance to maintain their "glacial" refraction. Follow these protocols to ensure your investment never loses its fire.
1. The Daily Ritual
• Last On, First Off: Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you take off at night.
• Avoid Chemicals: Exposure to colognes, perfumes, hairsprays, and lotions can create a film over your stones, dulling their sparkle. Always apply products before putting on your ice.
• Sweat & Water: While our pieces are durable, we recommend removing them before heavy workouts, swimming in chlorine, or salt-water exposure to preserve the integrity of the metal setting.
2. How to Clean Your Ice
To maintain that "just-out-of-the-vault" look, we recommend a deep clean once every two weeks:
1. Soak: Place your piece in a bowl of warm water mixed with a few drops of mild dish soap (Dawn is highly recommended). Let it soak for 10–15 minutes.
2. Brush: Use a soft-bristled baby toothbrush to gently scrub the stones, paying special attention to the "basket" (the underside of the stones) where oil and dirt collect.
3. Rinse & Dry: Rinse thoroughly under warm running water. Pat dry with the Glacier Microfiber Polishing Cloth included with your order. Avoid using paper towels or tissues, as they can scratch the metal.
3. Storage Protocols
When you aren't wearing your piece, store it in the provided Glacier House Velvet Pouch.
• Prevent Tangling: For tennis chains, ensure the clasp is closed to avoid knots.
• Individual Housing: Store pieces separately to prevent diamonds and moissanite (the hardest stones on earth) from scratching each other or your metal settings.
4. Professional Inspection
For high-value "Apex Tier" Lab Diamond pieces, we recommend a professional inspection once a year to ensure all prongs remain tight and secure.
